Strategic Planning

2nd International Seminar on Strategic versus Tactical Approaches in Mining

Perth, Western Australia, March 2006

ACG Course Number: 0601

Presenters:  Download the programme and speakers list

Readership: This event has been extensively researched and designed for mining executives and analysts, financiers and bankers, OH&S, mining, metallurgical and mine engineering personnel, mine planners, project leaders, consultants, contractors, researchers, suppliers and recruiters.

Mining is a long-term business that requires extremely high levels of investment. It also presents significant risks related to uncertainties, but potentially extraordinary rewards for shareholders, industry stakeholders and society. To maximise these rewards over the lifetime of our precious (but limited) minerals assets, strategic processes must be implemented. The temptation to access short-term gains at the expense of longer term benefits must be minimised.
