Mine Closure 2008 Publication

In September 2006, the ACG, in collaboration with the Centre for Land Rehabilitation (UWA), hosted the First International Seminar on Mine Closure. One of the greatest challenges facing the global mining community is the issue of economic and socially acceptable closure of mine sites. This seminar was the first of a series of seminars on this topic, with future seminars already planned for Chile (2007) and South Africa (2008). At the conclusion of the seminar series a hardbound publication featuring the papers of the highest standard will be produced.
