Events & Courses

The Australian Centre for Geomechanics presents eight to ten events and courses per year for the worldwide mining industry. Our symposiums, seminars, courses and workshops are available to a wide spectrum of the industry workforce and are aimed at developing personnel highly skilled in the understanding and application of geomechanics principles.

Through the continuing education and training program of the Centre, particular emphasis is placed on technology transfer, as well as on bridging the gaps between the disciplines of geotechnical engineering, mining engineering and structural geology. Since our inception in 1992, more than 6500 mining professionals have attended an ACG event or course.

Qualification

The Centre's education and training platform is coordinated by the ACG and is, therefore non-commerical. This allows us to offer registrations at low cost in areas of most value and benefit to industry.

We are proud of our reputation for providing innovative and relevant courses and bringing worldclass international symposiums and seminars to Australia for more than a decade.

Developing Courses that Meet Your Needs

We value industry feedback and suggestions about our further education courses and are encouraged to ‘think outside the square’. Please contact Josephine Ruddle if you have any comments or queries regarding our education and training platform. We look forward to hearing from you.
